Meet the team
Dr. B.V.S Jyoti
Founder & CEO
Dr. Jyoti is an Assistant Professor Space Engineering Department, Aerospace Engineering Faculty, at TU Delft. Specialize in ‘Energetic Materials’ (especially Green) and ‘Propulsion System’.
Coming from India, she did most of her higher education in South Korea. She was awarded the “Korea Young Research Fellowship (KRF)” and received a grant from the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), Ministry of Science, South Korea, for her project on ‘Green Hypergolic Propellant (H2O2) based Propulsion System’.
Dr. Jyoti has secured 5 patents, 14 International publications, and 19 international conference papers.
Jaime Quesada Mañas
Co-founder & CTO
Jaime graduated with a bachelors and masters degree, obtaining each a Cum Laude for Space Engineering, in Aerospace Engineering Faculty in TU Delft. During the masters, his research focus is in the field of ‘H2O2 concentration and detailed hypergolicity study for dual-mode green mono/bi-propellant based micro propulsion system’. From which he has been able to file for one patent and a journal publication.
He participated in a 6-month internship at the Ariane Group in Munich, Germany with a focus on data science applied to thermomechanics applications. He has previously collaborated on market analysis for a start-up named Tocano. For his course titled “High Technology Start-ups,” his project obtained the title of “Most Promising Startup” for its course work.
Co-founder & CSO
Coming from India, Pranav completed his bachelor’s degree from the Aerospace Engineering Faculty at TU Delft. He is currently pursuing his Master's in Space Engineering and also involved in research of “Hydrogen Peroxide – as green energy system” and has also obtained a patent filing and journal publication from his work on H2O2 concentration.
He has spent 6 months of internship at the E-Space Center at Lausanne, Switzerland, along with an internship at the Indian Space Research Organisation, Bengaluru, India.
Business Strategy Head
Shiva is an MBA graduate with a specialization in Finance and Marketing. He has completed Management Accounting from CIMA, UK. At present, he is pursuing Ph.D. in Financial and Monetary System from IIT Delhi.
He has over 17 years of experience as a technology strategy consultant and over the years has advised CXOs of large Global banks, Consumer Goods companies, Telecom, Fintech, and Publishing companies. At present, he is working as Senior Manager with Accenture Strategy & Consulting.
Shiva has a keen interest in tech startups and advises them on a pro-bono basis. He is also a hobby astronomers and enjoys star gazing on clear nights along with his 7 year old son.
Head of Sales and Marketing
Deniz obtained his bachelor degree on International Relations in Turkey. He is studying Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. He has experiences on International Sales, Marketing and Business Development in various countries and companies for 11 years. Market Research, Kitchen Machinery and Renewable Energy sectors are very familiar to him. He has an entrepreneur vision from university years and believe future of sustainability. Exploring different countries and cultures are refreshing activities for himself.
He is Head of Sales and Marketing in our team and willing to travel countries to introduce SolvGE.
Larissa came from Indonesia, obtaining her bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. With a passion to design for impact, Larissa has Research and Developing experiences in start-up companies valuing sustainability. From plastic waste solution to providing accessible green energy for the festival industry.
Larissa was granted by The Hague University of Applied Sciences to participate in The European Innovation Academy 2019 in Portugal. The entrepreneurship program led her into being one of the Co-founders and Chief Design Officer of Urbanbee, focusing on the awareness of the bee population and safe urban beekeeping. With over 1300 participants and 90+ start-ups, her start-up made it into the Top 10.
Head of Propulsion Technology
Dinesh is from India, he did a Bachelor of Technology in Aeronautical Engineering. He obtained a Master of Engineering and completed PhD thesis work from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. He is specialized in chemical rocket propulsion and has expertise in testing and analysis of chemical rockets (Solid, Liquid, and Hybrid Rockets).
During his PhD, he has worked on “Regression Rate and Combustion Instabilities of Hybrid Rocket Motor”. He was worked as a research fellow for the project “Effect of Protrusion on Regression Rate and Combustion Instabilities of Hybrid Rocket Motor” sponsored by the SERB, India. He was also secured the prestigious CSIR-Senior Research Fellow (SRF) award from CSIR, India for his project on “Effect Protrusion Configuration on Performance of Hybrid Rocket Motor”. Dinesh has secured 5 international publications and 9 (national and international) conference papers.
Dinesh is currently working on applications of green propulsion mainly focusing on the development of H2O2 based dual-mode thruster for In-space applications.
Junior Chemical Engineer
Nico has always had a strong interest in chemistry. He obtained his bachelor's degree in molecular science and technology. This program is a joint degree between TU Delft and the Leiden university, combining the technical knowledge in Delft with the Chemistry knowledge in Leiden. Followed by a master's in Chemical Engineering at the TU Delft.
During his studies, he followed the Chemical product engineering track. Focusing on the utilization of advanced chemical products in the chemical industry. It sparked his interest in the energy transition and the utilization of renewable techniques in the chemical industry. He performed his master thesis in the product and process engineering group at the TU Delft. He worked on the optimization of particle photocatalysts for hydrogen gas production.
Marinus Gabriël Smit
Junior Project Engineer
Having been curious how Nature works starting from a young age, it was clear that studying physics was the perfect fit for Rinus. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Physics at the TU Delft. During his studies, he was involved in various projects related to green energy, such as nuclear energy applications and flow battery studies.
With great affinity for space and green energy and passion for the technologies of the future, he is currently on track to study Quantum Mechanics and Elementary Particles in the MSc Applied Physics. One of his dreams is space exploration where the use of sustainable energy is the worldwide standard.
Propulsion Research Engineer
From a young age it was already clear Pieter really liked engineering, making chain reactions and developing devices at home. As a bachelor student mechanical engineering at the TU Delft, Pieter has tried to develop himself in the most broad way possible. He can’t stand still and am always busy, doing (or watching) sports or other activities, such as soccer. Being part of several committees in the student community next to his studies for example, helped in gaining organizational skills. When doing the spaceflight minor however, Pieter really enjoyed the topic of space engineering and so he fully delved into it by doing the master subsequently.
After a successful first year doing this master, Pieter performed an internship at DLR in Stuttgart. At DLR, Pieter learned more about interesting projects within the space industry and conducted experimental research. Pieter's task was to characterize a miniature arcjet that is used for tests on ablative material mounted on re-entry vehicles.

Propulsion Engineer Researcher
Eoghan is from Ireland and has studied at TU Delft since 2015, first the Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering before progressing to the Masters in Space Engineering. Eoghan has been active in the TU Delft student rocketry team DARE (Delft Aerospace Rocket Engineering) since coming to TU Delft. He has been active in the Cryogenic Propulsion team, the Thrust Vector Control Minor, worked as the Treasurer of the Society for a year and completed a full-time year as the Team Manager of Stratos IV working towards building an 8 m long student sounding rocket to break the European student altitude record.
Eoghan is conducting his Masters thesis at SolvGE, focussing on the design of an in-space propellant transfer system.
Andreas de Roos
Chemical Propulsion Researcher
Andreas has been fascinated his whole life by both the very small and the very large. To study both simultaneously, he chose to pursue two academic careers: one in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft and another one in Chemistry at Utrecht University. He is currently on track for cum laude graduation for both a Master’s degree in Space Engineering at TU Delft and one in Nanomaterials Science at Utrecht University.
Andreas will be conducting his Master’s thesis at SolvGE. In this time, he will focus mainly on developing a regenerative and sustainable, yet economical catalyst for inducing hypergolicity in hydrogen peroxide for space propulsion.
Propulsion Engineer Researcher
During his bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering at the TU Delft, Pepijn got enthusiastic in the field of space propulsion through his final thesis project; “Designing a modular, cost-effective manned spacecraft for an interplanetary mission to Mars and back”. This interest in space propulsion made him decide to pursue a master’s degree in Space Flight Engineering. As a highly motivated Aerospace Engineering MSc. student in Delft, Pepijn is eager to help finding solutions to current challenges we face in engineering and society. He is focused to solve these problems in the most elegant way using different tools he acquainted during his studies.

Currently, Pepijn is conducting his master’s thesis at SolvGE where he will focus on spacecraft and bi-propellant propulsion system optimization to allow for the application of hydrogen peroxide as oxidizer.
Mechatronic Engineer Intern
Niranjana, hailing from Kerala, India, decided to study engineering based on her childhood fascination and aptitude for mathematics. She is currently a third-year undergraduate student at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur pursuing a major in Aerospace Engineering along with a minor in Mathematics and Computing.
Having worked as an integral part of her college’s robotics community since her first year, she has immense interest in aerial robotics, embedded systems and controls.
As a summer intern at SolvGE, she wishes to make meaningful contributions to the team while advancing her own knowledge and experience. She is working on developing the printer user interface and mechatronics and is hoping to produce a fully-functioning system that can work as the brains of SolvGE’s product.
Nick ter Veer
Chemical Engineer Intern
Nick is in his final years as a Chemical Engineering student at TU Delft. After acquiring a joint bachelor’s degree in molecular science and technology in Leiden & Delft, he immediately started a master’s program in Chemical Engineering in 2020 at TU Delft. Having completed already all the courses and his master thesis, the internship at SolvGE will be the final stepping stone before graduating.
At SolvGE, Nick will work on the electrochemical process of hydrogen peroxide. He will continue on the work that was previously done and wishes to make substantial improvements. This is essential since a high efficiency electrochemical conversion process could potentially be used to improve our second generation printer.
Finally, Nick hopes to learn a lot while working at SolvGE from May to August while also having an amazing time in this international team. He is excited to get to work.
